Dr. Claudette Barrett-March is the Acting Vice Principal of Administrative Affairs at Shortwood Teachers’ College. She holds a PhD in Leadership and Masters and Bachelors degrees in Science Education. Dr. Barrett- March is a Shortwood graduate and has been a Science Educator for over 30 years, with 23 of these years in adult education.  Among her areas of expertise are Leadership and Sustainability Education.

The Vice Principal of Administrative Affairs, is a member of the Senior Leadership Management Team. She manages all administrative staff and co-ordinates Security, Housing and the Natural Environment, Plant and Facilities, Food Services, Health and Wellness and ensures that the College is operated in the most efficient and sustainable manner while it maintains its competitive advantage.

In addition, the Vice Principal of Administrative Affairs manages the procedures and processes that will lead to effective external relations with the various partners and stakeholders of the institution and manages the co-ordination of all college functions including:

  • Commencement Service
  • Founders’ Week activities
  • Carol Service
  • Easter Service
  • Valedictory Service
  • Graduation
  • Fund raising activities
  • Student led events
